The most advanced crime prevention and criminal investigation system of the country has been implemented at the Police Office of 5th District with the cooperation of Civil Zrt. and STP Kft. This system ensures that the patrol car recording known from the foreign TV reports assist the work of the Hungarian criminal investigation bodies.
Walk-DVR-CF digital image recording devices were installed in the patrol cars. Two fixed and one PTZ, and a mobile camera – for audio and video monitoring of the police action – were installed into each car. Through the built-in modem the Walk-DVR-CF allows live image transmission effectively assisting the operative work while the integrated GPS module provides accurate determination of the car’s location. The intelligent storage system of the device guarantees the reliable operation in the police cars. For archivation according to the standards the images are automatically downloaded to the central data storage server via WLAN following arrival of patrol cars to the site.
The video supervisory software of the Walk-DVR-CF is integrated into the administrative and graphical surveillance software; thereby it is suitable for documentation of the patrol activity in addition to crime prevention purposes.
The system complies with the applicable laws and the recommendations of the Data Protection Commissioner.
