SCPlayer

Introduction

SCPlayer is a free software that provides control of a device: displays live image, plays back archived records, archives and configures.

Functions of SCPlayer

Playing Live Video

When displaying live video the image of the cameras connected to the system appear in matrix grid, double-clicking on the image of a camera that image becomes full-screen. Next double-click will take you back to matrix view. In any view displayed images may be zoomed digitally by scrolling the mouse. Overriding simple zooming function, Logipix images – with Logizoom function – allow you to exploit the benefits of high resolution images even with small bandwidth. This method stands for retrieving only the zoomed area in full resolution, the rest of the image is still transferred in low resolution on the network.

Live video SCPlayer

Switchable captions of the live image in any case include the name of the camera and the time of recording, which will be part of the header of the recorded images. Activity detection and display of GPS data are switchable as well.

You may set bandwidth limit for live image retrieving in case a specified part of the network bandwidth between the device and the computer running SCPlayer can be used for video transmission. The activity diagram on the lower part of the player shows activity detections on a selected camera within one hour period back from the actual time. By clicking in it an ”archive retrieval” window appears, filling the selected period automatically with the time given in the activity diagram.

Playing the Archives

Online archive playback is performed by timely searching. You can give the date and time of the requested period, and you may choose the image of which cameras you want to be displayed (if not all necessary). The displayed recording may be paused, played backwards, speeded up, stepped. If the saving of a frame is sufficient, it can easily be saved from the paused archive (with captions like camera name, time, etc., or without them).

Archive

Functions for watching live recordings (matrix / single camera view, caption on / off, Logizoom) may also be used when displaying archive recordings.

The activity diagram on the lower part of the player shows activity detections on a selected camera within a given period. By clicking on it, the archive recording would be started from the time of that specified point.

Downloading

You may save archive recordings, similarly to playing back, by entering the period and selecting the cameras to be saved. In case of selecting several cameras, SCPlayer binds the downloaded images of the cameras, thus by opening the recording it will show up with the same matrix view and zoom as it were live image or online archive.

Download

The state of the process of downloading and binding can be traced on the slide bar below the image. During the saving process the frames are displayed at the pace of the saving.

Configuring

Using the configuring section of SCPlayer you may effect certain adjustments on the device. You may set recording parameters for the cameras and the network settings of the device. You may set parameters of the mobile network and of information for accessing DynDNS, if necessary. Parameters of the auxiliary memory may be displayed and set.

Configuration IP

Configuration APN

Configuration DynDNS

Settings of the camera include recording parameters, as well as activity sensibility setting parameters: permission, mask drawing, setting sensibility of masked area and of the background.

Configuration cameras

Settings of the Logipix camera affect not only the recording, but the image provided by the camera as well. Parameters for mirroring, light and color compensation, day/night function may be set.

Setting camera

Setup of the objectives of Logipix cameras is a delicate task, since the benefits of high resolution sensor may be exploited completely only with perfectly set objectives.

Focus setup function of the SCPlayer helps setting up the sharpness of the image according to image size. The size of the image is in direct ratio to the quality of the image. The sharper the image the better quality and the bigger size it has.

Setup function may be used for the whole image or for parts of it, and this will define which part of the image should be sharper (zooming on a specific area the setup function will define the image size of the given area).
