Nowadays even small enterprises require access control and attendance register systems. So far the purchasing such a system has always been accompanied by a new employee, and the need to provide the related hardware- and software-park. Our solution eliminates such incidental costs. Web-ACS requires minimal maintenance and only user-level IT-expertise both during installation and usage.
In order to facilitate installation, we have taken the need to integrate into the existing IT-infrastructure into consideration. Web-ACS can be connected to the existing LAN, thus making installation simple and effective. The product does not require a computer and any software specifically intended for this purpose.
The Web-ACS controller managing the access point can be easily reached via the separate network. Following identification, users may access data even from another country. Using the web-browser based display technology widespread on the Internet, apart from the well-accustomed Internet-browser, no other software is required, thus the product is OS-independent. No changes in the PC-requirement require any additional intervention.
Users can log in via the Internet-browser (Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, etc.) into Web-ACS, and the different functions can be reached via HTML-sites. Any person's access rights through independent doors can be set for certain time-intervals, and also for the days of the week. Events of the access point, data of the attendance register can be queried and saved in different formats to be processed, such as Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice or any other software.
The remote management of the access control systems known so far could easily be called as being rather circumstantial, or being so oversimplified that their use can not satisfy user requirements. Our product, Web-ACS is placed between these two extremities. It provides a solution, which amalgamates the compulsory functions of the industrial access control systems with the user-friendliness of the simple ACS-s.
Identification takes place via proximity-cards manufactured by Texas Instruments, TIRIS, Motorola Indala, and Philips Mifare.
The memory-capacity of the Web-ACS door-controller provides the logging of approximately 200,000 events without downloading. At places with lesser turnover it might be enough for years.
Web-ACS supports most services also provided by the StP Access Control System. Alongside with additional requirements, the StP Access Control System can be transformed into an access control and attendance register system with the help of the SDB08 basic software package.
